NARS has always been one of my favorite makeup brands for their rich lipsticks and shiny glosses. I mean, what girl doesn’t love the cult favorite Orgasm… a pink and gold flecked shade that looks good on practically everyone. That, was probably my first real makeup splurge after upgrading my drugstore NYC liquid lip shine in Pink Sand. I have to say, it held me over until I could afford the real thing. RIP pink sand.. you will always have a place in my heart.
Anyhow, back to NARS. I have recently become a huge fan of their concealer and foundation. The foundation that I am using now is called Sheer Glow Foundation, which provides lightweight yet photo worthy coverage. The perfect pick when you still want your natural skin to shine through. The formula feels nourishing and I feel like it will be moisturizing enough to carry me through winter. Often, when I want even more coverage on those little spots that need the extra love, I dot on the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It conceals those red spots around my nose and blue shadows revealed under my eyes that my translucent skin doesn’t quite want to hide on it’s own. I always recommend moisturizing your face after washing it, and before putting on your makeup. If you tend to get oily throughout the day especially in that T-zone area, a bit of translucent powder goes a long way. I apply mine after my concealer and foundation as well as a quick touch up half way through the day. Finish the look with Nars Satin Lipstick in Banned Red (described as mulled wine), it’s just the touch of Fall that you didn’t even know you needed.
